Exceptional panel depicting a luxuriant forest with birds of paradise and flights of butterflies incised and lacquered in matte and glossy gold-leaf on a jade green and burgundy red background. France, Circa 1925.

This museum quality piece was exhibited at the Pavillon de l'elegance of the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris 1925.

A.A RATEAU designed the properties belonging to Jeanne LANVIN in the 1920's.
