Claude LALANNE (1925–2019)

“Entrelacs”  Pair of Ear Clips (Earrings)
Artcurial Edition, 1996

A rare and highly sculptural pair of ear clips from Claude Lalanne’s celebrated Entrelacs series, edited by Artcurial in 1996. Crafted in 750/1000 yellow gold (18K), this limited edition pair is numbered 36/50, with only fifty examples produced.

Each earring is conceived as a delicately modeled four-petal flower resting on a subtly curved branch. True to Lalanne’s poetic naturalism, the petals are individually textured, capturing the organic irregularities of living foliage. The surface reveals a refined interplay of matte and polished areas, enhancing the luminous warmth of the gold and emphasizing the sculptural depth of the composition. A small central bead anchors the petals, while the branching stem introduces movement and asymmetry, a hallmark of Lalanne’s botanical jewelry.

Signed “C. L. Lalanne”, numbered 36/50, and stamped Artcurial.
