OLD Maxime

OLD Maxime

Maxime OLD ( 1910 - 1991 )

Almost one-of-a-kind Bronze Chandelier with 6 arms diffusing lights throught white frosted glass disks enclosed in patinated brass shades.

Two tones of Brass and green patinated bronze, and lighly oxidized make this chandelier a perfect combination of colors with the same material.

When the chandelier is turned ON, at night, different colors of the bronze appear to get darker patinas.

France Circa 1946

We thank Olivier Old, Maxime Old's son very much to have kindly confirmed the authenticity of this chandelier.

After researches in the archives, Olivier old can affirm that so far, only two chandeliers are located among the Artist production, one has been made for Maxime Old sister-in-law, Jeanne Lafarge and probably still in the family, and ours.

Our chandelier comes probably from a special order to Maxime Old by M.& Mrs Jay in 1946.
